Project Description:
The Canberra light rail network, also known as Canberra Metro, is a light rail system serving the city of Canberra, Australia. The initial 12-kilometre line links the northern town centre of Gungahlin to the city centre and has 13 stops. Services commenced on 20 April 2019. Light Rail Stage 2 project will provide an extension to the Stage 1 line which will run from the Canberra CBD to Woden in the South, via the Parliamentary Triangle. There are 13 stops along the 12km track including a terminus at each end of the route.
